It's a cold dry environment The snow line in that part of the west is around 6000' Dress in layers ,Capeline > pile and or down> shell garments and have fun. If you're planning on camping out and you don't own a winter bag,get a 0 degree bag rather than a 15 degree bag since with a down bag the difference between the weight and cost is negligible But the difference in sleeping comfort is considerable. One more thing make sure that you have good sunglassses bc the combination of snow , sun and high altitude sky will do some nasty things to your eyes Enjoy the area .
